Kelly Brooks

Kelly G. Brooks, 57, of West Fargo, ND died Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Bethany Retirement Living on University in Fargo, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Kelly was born May 31, 1960 in Fargo, ND, the son of Robert and Mildred (Erstad) Brooks.  He was raised in Mapleton, ND, attended elementary school there and Central Cass High School. Kelly was baptized this past April by Rev. Beth Rohn-Habhegger.  He worked various jobs but spent much time at GPK, Case IH Manufacturing and Cass-Clay Creamery.  Kelly was once married to Kelly Marie Haine.

He enjoyed the Minnesota Wild, Minnesota Vikings and Nascar.  Kelly also enjoyed NDSU Bison football and was able to attend one of their games this current season.  He loved hockey and this past November, dropped the ceremonial first puck at a Fargo Force game.

Surviving are his children:  Amber Brooks and Justin Brooks of Fargo;  siblings:  Bonnie Sims of Fargo,  Larry (Linda) Brooks of Fargo,  Janet (Dean) Johnson of Durbin, ND,  Dana Brooks of West Fargo, Bobbie Brooks of Mapleton, ND and Kathy (Ron) Kirchoffner of West Fargo;  nieces and nephews:  Bryan, Christopher & Jonathan Sims,  Jennifer Brooks Schrum,  Steven Brooks, Allison Verdi, Sean Johnson,  Dylan Johnson, Nathan, Amanda and Michael Brooks and his cat, Ivan.

Preceding him in death were his parents:  Robert and Millie; brother-in-law:  Rodger Sims and his father-in-law:  Robert Haine.

Prayer Service and Time of Sharing:  7 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2017, at West Funeral Home in West Fargo.

Visitation:  An hour prior

Burial:  Mapleton Cemetery, Mapleton, ND
