I was very sorry to hear of Wally's passing. We were teammates on the Fargo Legion baseball team back in the mid-60's. Yes, Wally was a jokester, but also a very talented athlete. I can still remember his quick laugh and his smile when involved in friendly teasing of his teammates.
My deepest condolences to his family.

My sincere condolences go out to all of the friends and family members of this amazing guy. He had a smile and laugh that could light up anyone's day and a wonderful sense of humor about life. He will definitely be missed by anyone and everyone who has had the pleasure of getting to know him throughout the years...(*thumb bump Mr. Walster, and hope you enjoy all of the donuts you can imagine Big Guy). Thoughts & Prayers, Sash.

I will remember forever, seeing Wally at Jack Williams Stadium last summer, watching his grandson pitch a fantastic game, he had a smile on his face that I will never ever forget. My deepest sympathies.

To Wally's family--I was so surprised and sad to hear of Wally's passing. The best memory I can say of Wally is that he had a great funny zest for life about him; he was just a funny guy who made all of us laugh, and he sure was good to all of us in our family when we went to school in Argusville. I am very sorry for your loss, and will keep you in my thoughts.

So very sad to hear about his passing. I remember as a kid his stories always set my grandma Lil into a laughing fit. Deepest apologies to his family.

One of the things I loved about Cousin Wally was his down to earth and sometimes outrageous sense of humor. Once I got old enough to carry on a decent conversation, I found him easy to visit with and even easier to laugh with. The only time I saw him without words is when I surprised him at the Holiday Inn in Bismarck during the class B B'ball tournament when Central Cass was here. I was working and I don't think he expected to see a uniformed cop at his door at that hour of the morning. The world is missing a fine person with his passing. My condolences to his family he will be missed.

Donna and Family. It is hard for me to say what I am feeling. When you grow up together and are friends for over 60 years what can I say. I am sitting here remembering playing football behind the power plant, on the bike trails at the river, pick up baseball games, rabbit hunting, staying over night at our homes. The list could go on and on. There are not many people that I can say are life time friend, but Wally is one of the them. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I know he is in a better place now and is trying to get a ballgame going. Thinking of you. Keith.

How do I begin to express my sadness in hearing of Wally's passing.. After I read about it last night, I was awaken many times during the night, hearing his laughter, seeing his smile and then seeing that thumbs up. Moving Lee away from where Wally was at, was the hardest thing I had to do.. Being greeted by Wally's big smile always made my visits more enjoyable. I shared with Lee today about Wally's passing and he was pretty upset... Please know that we are sending a hug to all of you, and thank you for letting us enjoy your wonderful Wally.... He will be missed...

My condolences to your entire family. Wally fought the valiant fight to stay with you all but his body just wasn't able. I can picture he and Vivian renewing their coffee and early morning chats again.
