Donald Mueller

Donald H. Mueller, 86, West Fargo, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at Sheyenne Crossings in West Fargo.

Donald H. Mueller was born to Henry and Sophia Mueller on February 13, 1930 on a farm outside of Alice, ND. On January 14, 1949, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force serving in Korea, Vietnam and numerous state side locations. Don retired from the Grand Forks Air Force Base as a Chief Master Sergeant in August of 1970 after 22 years of service to his country. Don married Vivian Frietag in May of 1949 and raised two sons during his time in the military. After leaving the Air Force, Don was employed from July 1971 to December of 1983 at the U.S. Postal Service in Moorhead, MN.

Don is survived by a son: Daniel (Yun) of Fayetteville, N.C.; 3 grandsons; a granddaughter; 3 great-grandsons; sisters-in-law: Luann Hartl of Fargo and Bonita Wellentin of Enderlin, ND.

He was preceded in death by his wife; a son: Brad; brothers: Evan and Dennis.

Funeral:   2 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2017, at West Funeral Home Chapel, West Fargo, ND.

Visitation: An hour prior to the funeral 

Burial: Buffalo Cemetery, Buffalo, ND
