Todd Barbeau

   Todd Barbeau, 50, of West Fargo, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo.

   Todd Scott Barbeau was born November 26, 1970, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Gregory and Mary (Reller) Barbeau.  He was raised in the Minneapolis-Bloomington area.

   Todd spent over 30 years in the restaurant business as a self-taught chef, mostly with the Axel’s, Bonfire, and Lucky’s 13 Pub group, also opening numerous restaurants.  During that time, he met his future wife, Tonya Swenson, and they were married in 2009.  They resided in Eagan, Minn., and moved to Fargo in 2011 to open and operate Lucky’s 13 Pub.  A daughter, Leighton Alayna was born to them on January 5, 2014.

   Todd was an avid sports fan, and his favorite teams were the Minnesota Vikings, Twins, and Timberwolves.  He had a passion for collecting bobbleheads and any other sports memorabilia as well as anything to do with mustang cars and cookbooks.  He also loved fishing, especially out on a pontoon.

   He is survived by his wife, Tonya; daughter, Leighton; his parents, Mary Barbeau and Greg Barbeau; mother-in-law, Judy Harlow; brother-in-law, Sam Swenson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Memorial Service: Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. in West Funeral Home Chapel, West Fargo.  A recording of the service will be available for viewing on this webpage following the service.

A reception will follow the service at Lucky's 13 Pub from 4-6 p.m.
