Tim Welter, 50, Mapleton, ND passed away on Jan. 15, 2022 at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND surrounded by his family.
Timothy Wade Welter was born June 22, 1971 in Grafton, ND. He graduated from high school there and continued his schooling at Moorhead State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in graphic communication. From a previous marriage Tim had three boys. He worked at Cook Sign and Indigo Sign before starting his own business, Next Signs. Tim married the love of his life Amy Nysveen on Oct. 25, 2008 and gained a bonus son. They made their home in Mapleton where they raised their family.
Tim enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, music and cooking. He loved riding his Harley and was working on restoring a 1965 Chevy pickup. He also was a master at airbrushing everything from hockey helmets and gas tanks to motorcycles. He was willing to help anyone with a project and was a self-proclaimed Mr. Fix It. He could often be found in the yard playing ball with his sons or working on their cars.
He is survived by his wife, Amy; four children, Judson Welter, Eliasson Welter, Harley Welter and Forrest Pacholke; mother, Lana Welter; brother, Tod (Tara) Welter; sister, Jennifer (Darrin) Domingos; several nieces and nephews; and two wonderful fur babies, Zoey and Ringo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Haug and his grandparents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the English Springer Rescue America (springerrescue.org) or the Grafton Lutheran Church (143 W. 5th St. - 58237) for the replacement of the outdoor signage.
Service: Monday, Jan. 24, 2022 at 5 PM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND with visitation one hour prior.
