Sherrie Frank

Sherrie L. Frank, 51, West Fargo, ND died on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at her home.

Sherrie Lee Nelson was born on May 29, 1967 in Grand Forks, ND to LeRoy and Lucille (Hipsher) Nelson.  In 1974 her family moved to Stephen, MN where she attended school, graduating in 1985 with honors.  She attended Minnesota State University Moorhead and graduated in 1991 with honors. She completed double majors in Art & Elementary Education.  She married Kenneth Mark Frank in June of 1991 and shortly after she began her teaching career at Park Christian School in Moorhead where she taught 6th grade for 12 years.  She excelled at teaching every child by meeting their individual learning needs. Christien Maleki Frank was born in July of 1997. When Christien reached the 3rd grade, Sherrie’s teaching focus shifted to his needs and the family began homeschooling. Sherrie continued to homeschool through high school when Christien graduated with honors. After his graduation, Sherrie continued to help other families with homeschooling advice.

In addition to her strong love of God, she also loved going to the lake, flower gardens, teaching, and animals. A very significant event to Sherrie was in 2012 when the entire family was adult baptized at Prairie Heights Community Church. She enjoyed camping and waterskiing at Cass Lake. She also spent many hours working her flower gardens which received compliments from all who enjoyed them. She continued to teach when possible doing art lessons for several family members as well as some friends.  She volunteered at Homeward Animal Shelter; which was very close to her heart and a charity she would welcome memorials to go to.

Funeral: Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 11 AM at Prairie Heights, West Fargo, ND.
