Merle Manthey

Merlin “Merle” Dell Manthey, 59, West Fargo, ND formerly of Shakopee, MN, peacefully passed away and met his Savior, Jesus Christ early on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND.

Merle was born on July 31, 1959 at Mankato, MN to Malcolm and Florence (Bickner) Manthey and one of four boys.  As an adult, Merle worked in the construction business as a heavy equipment operator.  Merle and his wife Pam spent time enjoying the warmth of Arizona before finally settling in North Dakota.

Merle loved to photograph interesting places they visited.  He also found great satisfaction in remodeling their home.

Merle was preceded in death by his father and his brother Matt.

Merle is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, mother, brothers and many other family and friends.  He was a kind, easy going and likeable guy.  He will be missed very much.

Graveside services: Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 1 PM at Valley Cemetery, Shakopee, MN.
