Mary Otto

Mary Jean Otto, Fargo, ND, formerly Erie, ND, passed away at her home November 15, 2021 at the age of 50.

Mary was born September 14, 1971 to John and Sharon (Kleinsasser) Otto at St Aloisius Hospital in Harvey, ND. She graduated in 1990 from Dakota High School in Arthur, ND. After graduation, she attended Josef’s School of Hair Design and Aakers Business College in Fargo.

Mary loved to sing and hang out with her friends. You would often find her and her sister Joan singing Karaoke at local establishments.

Mary was a fighter. She battled her way through and survived breast cancer. She also suffered from multiple auto immune diseases, the most prominent being Lupus and Sjogren’s Disease for many years.

Mary’s greatest joy was her 2 sons Tyler and Cooper. She was very proud of them and spoke of their accomplishments often.

Mary is survived by four siblings, Guy, Denise, Paul and Joan; her two boys Tyler and Cooper; two nephews, Kruse and Willie and many very special aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Sharon, a niece Ember Rayne, and brother-in-law, Charles Franks.

Services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021 at 10 AM at West Funeral Home Chapel, West Fargo, ND with visitation one hour prior.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Lupus foundation, Susan G. Komen breast cancer foundation, Tami’s Angels or the charity of your choice.
