Louise Schober, 78, Harwood, N.D., died peacefully on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Sanford Palliative Care, surrounded by family.
Louise Marlene Dahl was born on September 25, 1939 in Fargo, ND to Martin and Olina Dahl. In 1957, Louise graduated from West Fargo High School. After high school she attended Interstate Business College earning her degree in Business Administration. After college she started her career at United Electric/Uesco Warehouse in 1958. Louise worked for 47 years before retiring in 2005.
She married her soulmate, Allan Schober, on October 17, 1959; at Faith Lutheran Church in West Fargo. Together they were blessed with three children; Rodney, Kathy and Phyllis. Louise had five sisters and two brothers, which made for a very large family, of which she was very proud. Al and Louise shared the love of gardening, playing cards, baking, canning, and many friendships near and far.
Louise also enjoyed playing bingo at the Harwood American Legion. Despite being retired, she continued to keep busy helping out at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds, Juhl Brokerage, and Adesa. Several times comments were made that she worked harder than the kids. Her work ethic was passed on through generations and was considered second to none.
She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she made a big impact in each of their lives. Louise loved to give them golf-cart rides around her property, popsicles, and pick snacks out of the garden. She had a knack for making little visits into big moments and was deeply loved by all. Her sweet tooth brought a dessert to every occasion.
Louise will always be remembered for her ability to light up a room and make any person feel welcome. She touched countless lives with her infectious smile.
