Lester Schock, 81, Casselton, ND died on Jan. 8, 2022 at his home surrounded by family.
Lester Schock was born on July 24, 1940 at Elliott, ND to Reinhold and Kathryn (Raile) Schock. The family moved to Fargo in 1951. They lived in the Golden Ridge area until the tornado of 1957 at which time they moved to 7th avenue. He married Gayle Myhre Nesemeier in 1959. They lived in Hunter, ND before settling in Casselton in the early 1970’s. Lester worked for Sherman Excavating, Sioux Land Dressed Beef and later Quality Boneless Meats.
Lester was a collector of all things brass and was known as Mr. Fix It. He enjoyed being outside mowing the grass, tending the flowers and feeding the birds.
He is survived by four children, Leslie (Edna) Schock of Casselton, Shannon (Deb) Schock of Watertown, SD, Robin Schock of Casselton and Diona Schock of Moorhead, MN; brothers, Robert of Lark Park, MN and Kenneth (Marilyn) of Fargo; sister, Beverly (Dick) Brudevold of Mahnomen, MN; sister-in-law, Diane Schock of Fargo; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Lester was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Celeste Katherine Schock; sister, Agnes (Marvin) Pallum; brothers, Oscar, Arloe and Lyle (Charlotte); sister, Shirley (Robert) Tabatt; and sister-in-law, Sharon Schock.
Visitation: Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022 from 5 to 7 PM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo.
Funeral: Thursday, Jan. 13 at 2 PM at West Funeral Home Chapel, West Fargo with visitation one hour prior.
Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Harwood, ND.
