Janice Boyce

Janice M. Boyce, 79, passed away peacefully January 26th, 2024 at Sheyenne Crossing, West Fargo, ND.  Janice had been a resident there for many years.

Janice was born to Irvin and Lucile (Nelson) Boyce on October 28th, 1944 in Fargo, ND. She grew up on a farm near Absaraka, where she attended Absaraka Grade school through 8th grade and graduated from Wheatland High School. She attended Moorhead State University. She was a Computer Programmer at Blue Cross Blue Shield in Fargo, ND, and Colorado.

Growing up she was a 4-H member. She loved listening to the Supremes and The Everly Brothers music.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a Worthy Matron.

She was brought up in the Methodist Church and later joined the Catholic church and became a Catholic Sister. She did much of her service in Carrington, ND until retirement.

Jan’s greatest love was living on the Farm where she grew up. Her house was amazing. She loved gardening and designed many beautiful flower beds around the farm. Her pride and joy would be getting on her riding lawn mower for hours mowing her enormous yard which looked like a golf course when she was done. It was picture perfect. She loved playing Pinochle and a good game of Scrabble.

Jan was very kind, caring and generous to everyone she met. When you would visit her the smile on her face would light up a room. She was always happy to see you.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her Uncle Ralph (Barbara) Nelson, Aunt Betty (Nelson) Howe, and numerous cousins and friends whom will dearly miss her.
