George Knudson

   George L. Knudson, 92, Casselton, ND passed away Monday, August 8, 2022 at Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.

   George Lowell Knudson was born on March 6, 1930 in Fargo, North Dakota to Olaf and Jane (Hanson) Knudson.

   George grew up on the family farm near Horace, ND and attended Warren School #116 and Horace Elementary. He worked on the farm.  On May 21, 1961 he was united in marriage to Patricia Giermann at Martin’s Lutheran Church in Casselton, ND. They made their home in Wheatland where he farmed with a Giermann family.  In 1982, he started Knudson Sanitation and later retired in 1997.

   In retirement he and his wife Patricia enjoyed some traveling. George was a member of the Horace Lutheran Church and the Sons of Norway in Fargo.

   George is survived by his two sons: Rory (Geri) Knudson, of Sholo, AZ and Tony (Kristi) Knudson, of Casselton, ND along with his grandchildren: Logan, Tanner, and Dillon.

   George was preceded in death by his wife Patricia, sister Doris (Robert) Loberg, and brother Ralph (Carol) Knudson.

   Private family service will be he held at a later date at the Casselton Cemetery.
