Donna (Gillespie) Linke

Donna Linke, 85, rural Leonard, ND, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024 at her home surrounded by family.

Donna Gillespie was born Dec. 6, 1938 at Marmarth, ND to Matt and Mildred Gillespie. The family moved to Fargo, ND when she was in school. She graduated from Fargo Central High School. She worked a few years at the Fargo Clinic. Donna married James Linke in 1961. They made their home near Leonard where they raised their son and farmed for many years.

Donna, known to some as “poopsie,” enjoyed watching movies and visiting. She also sold Avon for a time.

She leaves behind her husband, Jim and son, Jeff along with many nieces and nephews. Donna was preceded in death by siblings, Fritz, Gordon, Wayne, Matt, Geraldine, Shirley and Beverly. 

Funeral:  Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 11 AM at St. Peter Lutheran Church, rural Leonard with visitation one hour prior.

Burial: Watson Cemetery, rural Leonard.
