Connie Lynn Hogenson, 55, of Fargo, ND, formerly of St. Petersburg, FL died on Saturday October 6, 2018, under the care of her family and Hospice.
Connie was born May 23, 1963, in Fosston, MN to Gordon and Sonja Hogenson. They lived in McIntosh, MN until 1969, when they moved to Halstad, MN, where she grew up with her four brothers and sister on a farm. Connie graduated from Halstad High School in 1981, and then attended Moorhead State University. She lived in both Phoenix, Arizona, and Vail, Colorado, before moving to St. Petersburg, Florida where she lived until January 2017.
When Connie moved to Florida she became a die-hard NASCAR fan. Each year she would be a logo guard at the Daytona 500 and the Coke 600 at Daytona Motor Speedway where she would camp out in a tent for 4 days. Her sister Kathy was able to join her for the Daytona 500 in 2012 and her brother Mark joined her at the Coke 600 which is held in July, it was 90 that week! Connie was also a big NFL Football fan. Her favorite team is the Denver Broncos, followed closely by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Minnesota Vikings. She would change her jersey multiple times on a Sunday afternoon to cheer on whichever team was playing.
She is survived by her parents Gordon and Sonja Hogenson, Halstad, MN; her siblings, Jim (Joy) Hogenson, Birchwood, MN; Mark (Theresa) Hogenson, Loveland, CO, Danny (Jennifer) Hogenson, Hillsboro, ND; Kathy (Jon Bayman) Skramstad, Fargo, ND; and Philip (Karmell) Hogenson, Moorhead, MN. As well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Grandparents Martin and Beatrice Vesledahl, and Ted and Agnes Hogenson. As well as her Uncle Albert Jirik and Aunt LuElla Jirik.
Funeral: 3PM Friday, October 12, 2018 in West Funeral Home & Life Tribute Center, West Fargo
Visitation: held one hour prior to her service
