Clark was born November 15, 1944, to Leon and Ruth (Becker) Goebel. He passed away on March 11, 2024, after a long battle with congestive heart failure and fibroid lung disease.
Clark was known for being a great piano player and singer. He had a career for over 50 years which began at the age of 14 in The Rockin Guitars, Yellowstone Co. in Bismarck and the Otherside Blues Band in Fargo. Later he played at retirement homes and church, which he loved.
After graduating from Napoleon High School in 1962, he went to Business College in Fargo. Then Uncle Sam came calling for a short stint in the Army. He was a proud member of the Harwood American Legion for over 50 years. He married Kay Johnson in 1966. He was so proud of his children Collin, Bill and Lori. He enjoyed visits from his granddaughters Maddy and Torri and great-grandchildren Avery and Eli. They always made him so happy.
He had a long career in radio KFYR, Wishek radio, KSJB and Midcontinent. Clark was also part owner of JVRR advertising. He owned a couple planes and flew U.S. and Canada for Blumhardt Manufacturing. He did have a few close calls but was a good pilot.
Clark would say his legacy is a loving family, many friends and touching hearts with his music.
He is survived by his wife, Kay; children, Collin, Bill and Lori (Tom) Haas; grandchildren, Torri and Maddy (Justin) Hanson; great-grandchildren, Eli and Avery Hanson, brother, Cameron (Willow and Canyon); and sister Claudia (Larry) Van Zetten.
