Brittney Bucholz Obituary

Brittney Lynn Bucholz, age 33, of West Fargo, N.D., passed away unexpectedly on April 3, 2024.

Brittney was born prematurely on February 6, 1991 in Fargo. Her fight to live began the moment she took a breath and continued as she fought addictions in her adult life.

Brittney grew up in Moorhead, Minn., where she attended Probstfield Elementary School. As a child she loved to do gymnastics and dance. Her family moved to West Fargo in 2001, where she attended South Elementary. She graduated from West Fargo High School in 2009.

Throughout her life, Brittney enjoyed the outdoors, especially going to the lake in the summer. She loved music and attended many concerts and festivals to see her favorite bands. Wherever she went, people were drawn to her smile and laugh.

Brittney followed her passion for beauty and graduated from The Salon Professionals Academy in 2010. She worked at Hair Success Salon & Spa in South Fargo for 5 years, many times alongside her aunt, Sandy (Anker) (Pulczinski) Erickson.

Brittney's love for adventure moved her to Colorado in 2015, where she furthered her styling experience. Wanting to be closer to her young nieces, she moved back to West Fargo in 2017, where she worked at Unclaimed Freight Furniture with her uncle, Jerry Anker. She worked for 2 years at Oliveri's Salon and continued doing hair from home for family and close friends.

Brittney always had a desire to help others, which inspired her to pursue nursing, earning her LPN degree from MState. She worked at Bethany Homes while attending school. She was so proud of her accomplishments at graduation in December 2022. While working at The Center for Pain Medicine, under Dr. Ghazi, she was pursuing her RN degree at NDSU until her untimely passing. She was preparing for clinicals this summer and would have graduated in December of 2024.

Brittney was baptized as a child of God at Good Shepherd Lutheran in Moorhead and confirmed in 2005 at Triumph Lutheran Bretheren. Our family is grateful to know that Brittney is at peace in the heavenly arms of Jesus.

Brittney's grandparents, Vernon and Martha Bucholz, and Jerome and Vivian Anker, met her in heaven, along with her beloved dogs, Sheena, Roxie and Lexi.

Through the gift of organ donation, Brittney changed the lives of five people and their families, which gives us great honor and comfort.

Brittney is survived by her loving parents, Mark and Deborah (Anker) Bucholz, her brother Brandon and his wife, Laura, and their daughters, Evelyn and Lydia Bucholz, all of West Fargo.     Her "pups" Zeena and Zoey were her babies. She had an abundance of friends from all the paths her life took her. We will miss her more than words can say.
