Bob Conrad

   Bob Conrad, 77, of West Fargo, died on Friday, January 27, 2023, in his home under Hospice care, with his family by his side.

   Robert John Conrad was born on August 10, 1945 in St. John’s Hospital, Fargo, N.D., to Robert. R. and Marjorie Ellen (Bissett) Conrad.  He was raised in the Page and Erie, N.D. areas, graduating from Page High School in 1963.  He then attended Wahpeton State School of Science for 2 years and then began farming.

   He was once married to Joanne Strampe, and married Sandra Altringer-Michaelson on September 4, 2004.  He had resided in West Fargo since 1979.

   During his career, Bob drove semi-trucks, and was a bus driver for West Fargo Public Schools for 16 years, retiring in June, 2021.

   He was a member of Flame of Faith United Methodist Church in West Fargo, and the Central States Teamsters Union.

   Bob is survived by his wife, Sandra; children, Dan (Rachel) Conrad, Joe (Kayla) Conrad, and David (Missy) Conrad; step-children, Nicole Michaelson, Nathan Michaelson, and Ashley Michaelson; grandchildren, Chantell Ramberg, Tanner Conrad, Abby Conrad, Mallory Conrad, Kellen Conrad, Charlie Conrad, and Parker Conrad; step-grandchildren, Caden Michaelson, Brock Michaelson, and Sarena Saric; a great-grandchild, Leila Vareberg; siblings, John Conrad, Fargo, Bruce Conrad, Moorhead, MN, Linda (Paul) Splettsaszer, West Fargo, and Dale Conrad, Valley City, N.D.

   He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Marjorie; sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Harvey Forderer; and mother and father-in-law, Jim and Rosemary Altringer.

   Memorials are preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Memorial Service: Friday, February 3, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in West Funeral Home, West Fargo, with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, North Dakota.
