Barbara (Marshall) Hart

Barbara E. Hart, 76, passed away at her home in Fargo, Saturday, January 25, 2020.

Barbara was born December 30, 1943, in Fargo, ND, the daughter of Kenneth and Ruth (Mosher) Marshall.  She graduated from the Buffalo (ND) High School in 1962. She loved children and did a lot of babysitting.  Because of her love of children, Barbara attended Valley City College to become a teacher.  Following graduation in 1966, she taught 2 years in Carrington, ND then for 27 years at Little Falls, MN.

Barbara was united in marriage to Wesley Hart in 1995.   The couple moved to Onida, SD.  Wesley was a Methodist pastor and served the local church for 3 years.  After retirement, they moved to Fargo.  Wesley died October 17, 2013.

Barb enjoyed visiting, playing board games and cards along with a cup of coffee and sweets. She was a strong supporter of the YWCA and helping the youth.

She is survived by a step son, Shane (Celeste) Hart of Parshall, ND; two step grandsons, Justin and Josh; two brothers, Ronald (Mary Ann) Marshall and Craig (Kathy) Marshall, both of Colorado Springs, CO and a brother-in-law, John McMillen of Pelican Rapids, MN.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Joan McMillen.

Funeral:  Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020 at 1 PM at West Funeral Home Chapel in West Fargo, ND.

Interment:  Wheatland Cemetery, Wheatland, ND.

Memorials are preferred to the YWCA of Fargo.
