Van Johnson Obituary

Van D. Johnson, Sr., 73, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Eventide Lutheran Home in Moorhead, MN.

Van was born on September 20, 1945 in Wahpeton, ND to Raymond and Leona (Ehrens) Johnson. He was united in marriage to Patricia Dittle in 1965 and to Gloria Geiss in 2003. Van worked at Siouxland Dressed Beef in West Fargo and owned his own semi truck. He enjoyed horseshoe, bingo and visiting with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Van, Jr.; sisters, Verna Matthews and Tamara Goltz; brothers, Richard, Elroy and Paul Johnson and Erland Wateland and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Van is survived by his daughter, Vaniese (Dennis) Dahl; 2 grandchildren, Ryan Dahl and Stacy Ringdahl; brother, Gene Johnson; sister, Sharon (Charles) Erbstoesser and many nieces and nephews.

Per Van’s request, no services are planned.
