Margo Iszler, 89 years old, a long-time resident of the Fargo area, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019, at KinderCare of West Fargo.
Margo worked in the medical field as a brain histologist at TNI Lab, St. John’s Hospital, and the Fargo Clinic for close to 40 years. She was the “brains” of the operation working with the central nervous system. She looked at biopsies with a microscope and preserved and cut thin tissues into sections creating a pathology report for doctors to make cancer diagnoses.
Margo loved gardening, all animals, good food, sweets, games and socializing. She enjoyed being with family and friends and had a wonderful smile that would light up a room. She was a long-time member of the El Zagal Shrine Auxiliary in Fargo where she volunteered with the annual fashion show and the Shrine Circus.
Margo is survived by her husband Marvin, whom she was married to for 65 years; her nephews Tom Navratil (Heidi) of Vancouver, WA; Tom Wallat (Carla) of Federal Way, WA, and Mike Wallat (Jolene Hufty) of Seattle, WA, and sisters-in-law Marliese Wallat of West Fargo, ND; and Liz Jones of Canada.
The family would like to thank the caregivers and staff of KinderCare of West Fargo for their care, dedication and love for Margo these past years.
