Larry King, 79, West Fargo, ND formerly of Amenia, ND passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at New Perspective Senior Living Memory Care, West Fargo.
Larry Lee King was born on November 26, 1940 on the family farm at Amenia, ND to Frank and Helen (Webber) King. He married the love of his life, Kathy Nelson on September 3, 1957. Larry was a hard worker and life long farmer. He also did a few odd jobs over the years: drove a gravel truck in Nebraska, drove a school bus, and worked at Siouxland Buffalo to help provide for his family. He retired in 2006, but continued to help on the farm until 2016 when he moved into West Fargo.
Larry enjoyed fishing, slots at the casino, traveling, skiing, bowling. His true passions were his family and farming. He will be missed deeply by all his friends and relatives.
Larry is survived by his four children: Steve and fiancée Cindy, of Detroit Lakes, MN, James (Kerri), of Alexandria, MN, Jaquelyn (Brian) Kreft, of Streeter, ND and Craig (Char), of Amenia, ND, 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, sister Arlene Thompson, sister-in-law Betty King, and many nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen King, parents, brothers Donald and Delbert, sister Betty Vickers, sister-in-law Marlene King, and brother-in-law Juel Thompson.
Visitation: Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 5-7 p.m. at West Funeral Home in Casselton, N.D. .
Prayer Service: Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 7 p.m. at West Funeral Home in Casselton, N.D.
Funeral: Monday, January 6, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at Martin’s Lutheran Church in Casselton, N.D.
Burial: Monday, January 6, 2020 at Casselton Cemetery following the funeral.
