Kenny Berg Obituary

Kenneth R. Berg, 68, West Fargo, ND passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at his home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Kenneth Ray Berg was born on July 11, 1950 in Minot, ND to Olaf and Lillian (Annell) Berg.  Kenny attended school in Minot.  In 1968, he moved with his family to West Fargo, ND where he started working for Mobility Inc., of Fargo until 1981, and shortly after began working for K & K Construction and Galvanizers Inc. in West Fargo until he retired in 2014.  On January 17, 1970, Kenny married Karen Fuss at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, West Fargo.

Kenny was known to be a “Jack of all Trades” and was very handy with tools.  He was described as being a carpenter and a tinkerer and could build almost anything.  He was also known as a good Samaritan, who would use his handyman skills to help anyone who needed it by building things for them or fixing whatever needed to be fixed, never asking for anything in return.  He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren, going hunting, fishing, and camping together over the years.

Kenny is survived by his wife Karen, of West Fargo; sons: Todd (Annie), of West Fargo, Aaron (Jenna Pulkrabek), of Cambridge, MN, and Karl (Robin), of West Fargo; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  Other survivors include his siblings: Marvin (Maxine) Berg, of Longmont, CO, Eddie (Sharon) Berg, of Minot, ND, Ernest (Melody) Berg, of Power, MT, Geraldine Stedman, of Washington, Michael (Lynn) Berg, of Sisters, OR, and Valerie (Russ) Kraenzel, of Great Falls, MT.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, son Loren Berg, brothers Richard and Allen Berg, and daughter-in-law Anita Pike-Berg.

The family of Kenny wishes to send a big thank you for the wonderful care they received from Griswold Home Care of Moorhead and Hospice of the Red River Valley of Fargo, with a special note of thanks to nurse Carissa.
