Jean A. Lahren, 75, of Kuna, I.D. formerly of West Fargo, N.D. died peacefully in her home on May 11th 2019 under the care of St. Luke’s Hospice.
Jean was born on November 7, 1943 in Ypsilanti, ND to Lee and Adeline Ferguson. She grew up in Ypsilanti, graduated from high school in Jamestown, ND and attended NDSU. She married James Lahren in 1966 at First Presbyterian Church in Fargo. They lived in Fargo where Jean worked at DeLendrecie’s and K-Mart and was an active member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in West Fargo. They moved to Idaho in 2007 to be closer to their son. Family was very important to Jean and she maintained close contact with her parents which included frequent visits to Ypsilanti. She was a devoted grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Adeline Ferguson.
Jean is survived by her husband of 53 years, James Lahren; her sons James Lahren and Mark (Sarah) Lahren; her grandsons, Andrew Lahren and Isacc Lahren; her brother Loren (Ronnie) Ferguson and sisters-in-law, Diane Lahren, Joanne Kaeding, Vicki Kobilansky and Julie Roush.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.
Visitation: Tuesday, May 28th from 5-7 pm at West Funeral Home, West Fargo and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
Funeral Service: Wednesday, May 29th at 10:30 am at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, West Fargo, ND.
Interment: Valley Cemetery, Ypsilanti, ND.
