Debbie Goodman

Debbie L. Goodman, 59, of West Fargo, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at Bethany on 42^nd in Fargo.

Debbie Lorane Goodman was born December 7, 1959, at Breckenridge, MN, the daughter of Glen and Ruth (Breden) Claus.  She was raised and educated in Milnor, ND.  After graduating from Milnor High School, Debbie attended Moorhead State.  She married the love of her life, Mark Goodman, May 29, 1982, at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Moorhead.  The couple lived in West Fargo until 1989 when they moved to Maple Grove, MN.  After eight years there, they moved to Princeton, MN and later also resided in Clearwater and Becker, MN.  Mark died, February 17, 2013.  Debbie moved moved back to the Fargo area in 2017.

She enjoyed playing bingo and crocheting.

Grateful for having shared in her life a daughter:  Abigail (Thomas) Hanzlik of Becker, MN;  grandchildren:  Devon, Logan and Lauren;  father:  Glen Claus of Wahpeton, ND;  brothers:  Gary (JoAnn) Claus of West Fargo and Terry (Lisa) Claus of Scottsdale, AZ;  a sister:  Gayle Claus of Champlin, MN;  mother-in-law:  Pat Michel of Moorhead, MN;  brothers-in-law:  Michael (Susan) Goodman of Woodbury, MN,  Curtis (Gwen) Goodman of Barnsville, MN and Steven (Brenda) Goodman of Hurdsfield, ND;  sister-in-law:  Kathy (John Viebrock) Hanneman of Wahpeton, ND;  many nieces and nephews and life-long friend:  Lisa Edison-Smith of Fargo.

Debbie was preceded in death by her husband:  Mark;  mother:  Ruth Claus in 2011 and father-in-law:  Hal Goodman in 1983.

Her family sincerely thanks the Roger Maris Cancer Center,  Hospice of the Red River Valley and Bethany on 42^nd for the care Debbie received during her illness.

Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m.  Sunday, February 24^th, 2019, at West Funeral Home, West Fargo 

Funeral:  1 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2019, at the funeral home.
