David Caswell, 63, Hunter, ND died on Monday, July 29, 2019 at Villa Maria in Fargo, ND.
David Lee Caswell was born Feb. 20, 1956 in Fargo, ND to Donald and Shirley (Wagner) Caswell. He grew up in Casselton and Galesburg, ND. He attended school in Galesburg and Wahpeton State School of Science. He worked at a bean plant and was on the crew that built the Clifford Elevator where he earned the nick name “Ace.” He later worked for the Cass County Soil Conservation planting trees. He was also part owner in the Ma & Pa Bar in Finley, ND. He married Carol Thompson Durley in 2003 and they made their home in Hunter.
He was a volunteer fireman in Galesburg and was recognized as a chapter leader in the FFA. He was also a huge NDSU Bison football fan.
Dave is survived by his wife, Carol; father, Donald of Galesburg; two brothers, Danny of Galesburg and Douglas (Tasha) of Finley, ND; step children, Matthew (Tara) Durley, Wes Durley and Kayla Durley; and six step grandchildren, Darling, Greigh, Hailee, Brady, Josh, Olivia and Alexis.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Funeral: Friday, Aug. 2, 2019 at 2 PM at West Funeral Home Chapel, Casselton, ND with visitation one hour prior.
