Doug Bormann

Doug D. Bormann, 67, West Fargo, ND died on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.

Douglas Dean Bormann was born on October 2, 1950 in Perham, MN to Walter and Lovie (Bethke) Bormann.  Doug attended school in the Ottertail/Henning area, graduating in 1968.  He went to Moorhead State College, graduating in 1972 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel/Motel Management.  Doug then went to work at the Holiday Inn in Fargo for the rest of his career with his final job being with First Call Hospitality Management.  He married Jeane Eckhoff at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Henning, MN on July 11, 1970.

Doug loved everything that was the outdoors;  hunting pheasant, goose, and deer, being at the lake, and spending the weekends at the farm where he could mow the lawn.  He also loved to spend time with his grandchildren, listen to the oldies, and watch John Wayne and James Bond movies.

Doug is survived by his wife of 47 years Jeane, daughter Tonya (Matt) Oldham, and son Troy (Chelsie), all of West Fargo, grandchildren: Brandon, Blake, Bailey, Nathan, and Austin along with his brother David (DeAnna), of Sioux Falls, SD and his nieces and nephews.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents Walter, Lovie, and stepdad Mearl Becker.

An open house will be Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 2 – 4 PM at the West Funeral Home, West Fargo.  Doug’s family requests that casual attire be worn.
