William Sell

   William L. Sell, 76, West Fargo, ND passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 at Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.

   William Lewis Sell was born on June 23, 1944 in Casselton, ND to Theodore and Mary Margaret (Roach) Sell. After high school, he served in the United States Army from 1961 until 1963.  In 1966, William married Darlene Erdmann in Enderlin, ND.  He worked for Farmers Brothers for ten years then went back and attended college and got an Associates Degree in IT. He then went to work for the next twenty years as a parts salesman for NAPA.  In August of 2001, William met Trudy Gerszewski and they have been together since.

   William’s tools were his pride and joy; he used them to work on his favorite Chevy cars and collect miniature corvettes.  He also had a collection of Eagles, was a Minnesota Vikings fan, and enjoyed working on and playing games on his computer.

   William is survived by his son Roger Sell, of Hunter, ND, daughters Jennifer Exner, of Fargo, ND and Terri (Marvin) Holm, of Hunter, ND, foster daughter Teri (Scott) Loghry, of Fayetteville, AR, step-daughter Sheila Brezina, of Fargo, ND, step-son Steven (Kristin) Gerszewski, of Jamestown, ND; 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  Other survivors include his partner Trudy Gerszewski, of West Fargo, ND, former spouse Darlene Sell, of Sioux Falls, SD, brother, David Sell, of Colorado, sisters Judy Story, of Arvada, CO and Susan Patrick, of Thornton, CO, along with his uncle Harvey (Donna) Sell, of Fargo, ND and many nieces and nephews.

   William was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert Sell, Grandson Sean McDonald, Trudy’s mom Afton Mae Johnson, and son-in-law John Exner.

Visitation: Friday, March 5, 2021 from 10 AM until 11 AM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND.

Funeral Service: Friday, March 5, 2021 at 11 AM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND.

Burial: Friday, March 5, 2021 at 2 PM at Fargo National Cemetery, Harwood, ND.
