Waigo Lawrence, age 51, of Wahpeton, ND, formerly Moorhead, MN, died September 7, 2021, at his home in Wahpeton.
Waigo Geofrey Lawrence was born August 25, 1970, in Metu, Uganda, Africa, the son of Lawrenzio Lukere and Francisca Opia. He accepted Christ at an early age. Waigo attended Litoba Primary School in Kajo-Keji, South Sudan. Following primary school, he graduated from Moyo Senior Secondary School in Uganda in 1993.
Waigo relocated to Nairobi, Kenya in 1994, and later resettled to the US in 1995. He lived first at Cedar Rapids, IA, where he enrolled at Kirkwood Community College and graduated with an Associate degree in Science in 2005. After his graduation, he moved to Fargo, ND. He later moved to Moorhead, MN where he was employed by PACTIV. In 2020, Waigo moved to Wahpeton, ND where he was employed with Bobcat of Wahpeton until his death.
Waigo is remembered as loving music; he enjoyed singing, was part of a choir, and could also play several instruments.
He is survived by a son Alumai Wilson Waigo; his wife Sharon Waigo, sisters Victoria Dipio, Regina Utua, his older brother Lou Michael, as well as his extended family and an abundance of friends. Waigo was preceded in death by his parents, and two of his sisters.
We will all miss him more than words can say.

Funeral Mass: 1 pm Saturday, October 9, 2021, in Sts. Anne & Joachim Catholic Church, Fargo, ND
Burial: Holy Cross Cemetery - South, Fargo, ND
Fellowship Receptions will be held Friday evening following the Visitation and Prayer Service, and on Saturday following the Funeral Mass and Burial Service. The receptions will be held at the Harwood Community Center, 210 Freedland Drive, Harwood, ND 58042,
