Vincent Larson, 76, Fargo, ND passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.
Vincent Everett Larson was born on May 8th, 1945 (V.E. Day) in Valley City, ND to Floyd Everett and Gladys May (Hogen) Larson. He graduated from Buffalo High School in 1963 and attended NDSU for one year before joining the Army National Guard as a member of the 188th Army Band. He served from 1965-1971. He married Grace (Berge) on June 27th, 1970 in Binford, ND. Vince farmed with his father and brother (David) in Buffalo, ND until retiring to Fargo in 2017.
Being a man of strong faith led him to be involved in his church as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and national church board member. He also enjoyed serving as a Gideon by leading Bible studies in jail ministries, placing Bibles in hotels, and distributing God’s Word to schools & colleges.
Vince enjoyed his years serving the Buffalo community as president of community club, township officer, Buffalo development corporation, and many years of serving on the Maple Valley school board.
Vince’s favorite hobby was flying. He got his pilot’s license in 1969 and was a charter member of the Buffalo flying club. He continued in the club until it was dissolved in 2017.
Vince leaves behind his wife Grace, daughter SueAnn (Tim) Berntson, Buffalo ND, son Jeremy (Rachel) Larson, Moorhead, MN, nine grandchildren: Levi (Jordan), Alexandra (Ezra), Hunter, Bria, Hale, Caden, Grant, Gabriel, Paige and one great grandchild: Evelyn. He is also survived by seven brothers: Orvin (Mallory), Ben (Pat), Stan (Kathy), Rev. Doug (Barbara), David (Lonnie), Rick (Carol), Roger (Mary), one sister: Joyce Spitzer, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Father (Floyd) and Mother (Gladys) Larson and Brother in law Stan Spitzer.
Visitation: Monday, Jan. 17, 2022 from 5 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND.
Funeral: Tuesday, Jan. 18 at 2 PM at Grace Free Lutheran Church, Valley City, ND with visitation one hour prior.
Burial: Buffalo Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Gideons, Grace Free Church or Ethos Hospice.
