Terry Krauth

Terry L.  Krauth, age 69, of West Fargo, ND, died Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at his home in West Fargo, ND, under the care of his family and Hospice.

Terrance Lambert Krauth was born July 12, 1951, the son of Lambert and Marie (Doll) Krauth.  Terry was born at Moorhead, MN, but grew up at Barnesville, MN, where he graduated from high school.   He then attended Anoka Technical College and became a draftsman.   He began working at Crane Johnson Lumber, Fargo, then at Stockyard Lumber in West Fargo.   He returned to Crane Johnson at Midstate Truss, and later worked at United Structural Components (USC).    After a short  break, Terry began working again, now as a custodian at West Fargo South Elementary, and so enjoyed being around all the kids.

On June 6, 1968, Terry dated Reberta Charles for the first time, but she only went out with him because she had noticed another girl had her eye on him!  They were married August 14, 1971 at Barnesville and spent the next 48 years together.  They lived in Anoka, MN, and La Crosse, WI, and then West Fargo, where they lived 46 years. 

Terry is remembered as a hard-working father who always placed his family first.  He loved to play guitar – both as a passion and a pastime.  He was “Grandpa Terry” to all of Reberta’s daycare kids over the years.  He was a “Solid Rock” – stable and available for anyone in need.  That also included Reberta as she loved to decorate for Christmas, which had Terry setting out her 42 Nativity sets!   As an active member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Terry was always part of the Fall Supper and many other special days and events at the church.  He was also a member of Knights of Columbus at the church.

He leaves his daughter Teri “NaeNae” Krauth, West Fargo; two sons, Cory Krauth of West Fargo and Ben (Thea) Brown of Tucson, AZ; 5 grandchildren, Virginia, Lexi, Natalie, Savanna, and Marissa; 5 great-grandchildren Aubrey, Emily, twins Oaklyn and Emersyn, and another soon to arrive.  Also 5 siblings: Dick Krauth, Moorhead, MN; Arlene (Shine) Mulchay, Detroit Lakes, MN, Mary Jean (Edward) Ernst, Wolverton, MN, Shirley Henry and Rita Ludemann, both of Moorhead, MN;  and many nieces and nephews.

Terry was preceded in death by his wife Reberta on August 9, 2019, his parents, and one sister Joanne.

Visitation:  5 – 7 p.m. Monday, August 3, 2020 with a Prayer Service held at 7 p.m., all in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, West Fargo 

Mass of Christian Burial:  10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Blessed Sacrament.
