Terryl Ann (Terri) Quam Stavenger passed away at Sanford Hospital with family by her side on August 11, 2021 from complications of MS.
Terri was born on December 17, 1956 to James and Mavis Quam in Fargo, ND. She attended Nativity School and graduated from South High School in 1975.
As a teenager, she worked at the Dutch Maid in Fargo. She worked in wholesale floral sales for 31 years, the last 25 years as Manager of the J.W. Perry Wholesale Floral Co. at the Moorhead, MN location. She worked at the US Bank Service Center from 2008 until late 2014, when her third spinal surgery disabled her.
Terri married Doug Stavenger on November 4, 1977. They welcomed their son Casey on July 25, 1989, and when Casey’s son Bowen (Fisk-Stavenger) arrived on October 18, 2018, it was the frosting on the cake!
Terri faced numerous surgeries and setbacks with a strength and determination that was amazing. She was blessed with a kind and devoted husband. Doug was her rock.
Surviving is her husband Doug; son Casey; grandson Bowen; her mother Mavis Evenson, all of West Fargo; sisters, Linda (Lee) Pettie, West Fargo, Debbie (Ed) Dahlin, Conconelly, WA, and Joan Quam, Superior, WI; stepmother Dorla Quam; and two step-sisters, Kim and Patty; brothers-in-law, Jeff (Marcia) Stavenger, Moorhead, MN, and Bill Stavenger, Madison, WI; sister-in-law Sheryl (Milton) Klein, Hidden Timber, SD; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Preceding her in death were her father, James Quam; grandparents Elnor and Bertha Evenson and Harry and Verna Anderson; and mother and father-in-law Marvin and Grace Stavenger.
Funeral: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 17, 2021, Faith † Journey Lutheran Church, with visitation 1 hour prior to service.
