Susan McIntyre, 100, Prosper, ND died Friday, January 25, 2020, at Rosewood on Broadway, in Fargo, ND.
Susan Eliza Walter was born November 10, 1919 at White Earth, ND to Earl and Flora (Whittemore) Walter. She grew up at Bowbells, ND, graduate from high school there, and attended Jamestown College, Jamestown, ND. She married Kenneth McIntyre on June 16, 1940 and they farmed at Prosper until his death October 6, 1996.
Throughout her life Susan was involved in many organizations and activities: The Community Presbyterian Church, West Fargo; Cass County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee, and Cass County Farm Bureau Women’s Chorus; Prosper Pixies and Prosper Livestock 4-H clubs; Prosper Homemakers, Cass County Farm and Home Administration Committee; Prosper Homemakers; International Farm Youth Exchange; Daughters of Dakota Pioneers and Bonanzabelles. However, her most memorable activity was working with Ken to help organize and create Bonanzaville, USA.
Susan is survived by eight children, Walter (Jeanette) Claremore, OK, Murray (Margo) Oklahoma City, OK, Mary (Lyle) Crowston, New Hartford, CT, Phillip, (Sheryl) Fargo, Flora (William) West, West Fargo, Timothy (Bonnie) Harwood, Nancy (Rex) Byrd, Harwood, and Benjamin (Brenda) Pelican Rapids, MN, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family.
Susan was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth; siblings, Enid Cranston, Hartley Walter, Vida Hanson, Verna Johnson, Ardis Sherwood, and Henry Walter; and one great grandchild, Darrell Lee Froud III.

Visitation: 5 - 7 pm Friday, January 31, 2020, with a Prayer Service held at 7 pm, all in West Funeral Home Chapel, West Fargo, ND
Funeral Service: 10 am Saturday, February 1, 2020 in Community Presbyterian Church, West Fargo.
