Susan Marie Kish, 64, West Fargo, received her Angel Wings after passing from COVID-19 on Saturday, December 11 surrounded by her family.
Sue was born March 25, 1957, in Bottineau ND to Joyce (Vedquam) and Harold Brusletten. She was raised in Bottineau, Devils Lake and finally Fargo where she graduated from Fargo South High in 1975. After graduation, Sue attended NDSCS in Wahpeton where she met Craig Klosterman. They wed in 1978. She was blessed with her 2 children, son Shane and daughter Callie. On May 2, 2000, Sue married Michael Kish. They made their home in West Fargo.
Sue worked in the telecommunications industry. She started her career working at Blue Cross Blue Shield ND in Fargo, upon moving to Grand Forks she worked at United (Altru) Hospital. After moving back to Fargo, Sue worked at the US bank Service Center, Innovis (Essentia) Health and finally Eide Bailly until health concerns forced her to retire early.
Sue’s health struggles required her to receive the most precious Gift of Life, an organ transplant. In June of 2009, Sue was fortunate to receive a heart transplant. With ongoing health issues, Sue was blessed again to receive a second organ transplant, this time a kidney transplant in October of 2013. None of her health concerns could stop Sue’s will to live, throughout all her battles, Sue overcame her obstacles and was truly one of the strongest persons we all knew and loved.
Having been given these gifts of life, Sue was allowed to see her children wed, travel, enjoy life with Mike, and see her 3 grandkids be born. Her grandkids were her world. Sue loved those kids most dearly and was known for her cupboard of treats and sweets that Brynn, Bodie and Blake would flock to during visits to grandma’s house. The greatest of memories and times spent with her grandkids were their many trips to Disney World. We all know she is now in an equally magical place healthy and free of pain.
Sue is survived by her husband Michael, West Fargo; son Shane Klosterman, Dwight ND; and daughter and son-in-law Callie & Jason Carpenter; granddaughters Brynn & Blake Carpenter and Grandson Bodie Carpenter, all of Horace ND; sister Julie (Randy) Thorson, Fargo; aunt Elizabeth Stewart, Bottineau ND; mother-in-law Greta Kish, Clear Lake MN; brother-in-law John Kish, Centerville MN; numerous sisters-in-law and their spouses, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harold & Joyce Brusletten, Craig Klosterman & father-in-law Jerry Kish.
