Stanley “Stan” Hase, 68, of West Fargo, passed away peacefully following a long courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at his home surrounded by family and under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Stan was born February 10, 1953, to Arthur and Elsie Hase in Harvey, ND. He was raised on a farm near Martin, ND and educated at the Martin Public School and was in the Harvey High School graduating class of 1971. He married Madeleine Richard June 8th 1974. The couple had 3 sons Jeremy, Philip, Eric, and a daughter and Melissa. Stan worked for a farmer near Colfax, and at the GNC plant. He owned and operated Grasshopper Lawn Service and also did snow removal. He was also employed at the Fargo Dome as a parking attendant for many years. After the death of his first wife, Madeleine, Stan married Joan Anderson January 26, 2002.
Stan was a member of the Martin Methodist Church and later attended Red River Reformed Church in West Fargo. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and spending time with the family. Stan was a very private, caring, quiet and easy-going man.
Grateful for having shared in his life are his wife: Joan; children: Jeremy and his son Grant; Philip (Daneth) and their family Eric, Will and Anika; Eric (Tiffani) and their children Madison and Kaden; daughter: Melissa; step-children and grandchildren: Scott (Jessica) and their children Zachary, Emily, and Logan; Taralyn and her children Mason and Dyllan; David (Beth) and their children Daniel, Andrew and Michael; a sister: Cynthia and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Arthur and Elsie; a brother: Delmer and first wife: Madeleine. Stan passed away on what would have been their 47th Wedding Anniversary.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday, June 18, 2021, at Red River Church in West Fargo.
Visitation: 5 to 7p.m. followed by a 7 p.m. Prayer Service, Thursday, June 17 at the church
Burial: St. Benedict’s Catholic Cemetery, Wild Rice
