Sharol Barnby-Martin

   Sharol Barnby-Martin, 70, of Fargo, died February 21, 2025, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo.

   Sharol Barnby was born July 9, 1954 in Fargo, ND, to Donald and Marilyn (Armstrong) Barnby. She grew up in Casselton, ND, and graduated from high school there in 1972. She then attended college in SD.

   Following college, she worked at Red Owl in Fargo for 25 years, was a dispatcher for 3 years at TBI Trucking, then at Reile’s Transfer & Delivery, and finally at Luther Family GMC for 8 years until retirement in 2018.

   On February 28, 1989, she married Jim Martin and they made their home in Fargo.

   Sharol enjoyed hunting, fishing, flowers, and doing things around the house.

   She is survived by her husband, Jim; sister, Shelley (Duane) Leonard, Verndale, MN; one niece and one nephew; and an uncle, Gene (Jill) Barnby – Detroit Lakes, MN.

   She was preceded in death by her parents.

   Funeral Service: Monday, February 24, 2025, 2:00 p.m., in Martin’s Lutheran Church, Casselton, ND, with visitation one hour prior to the service.

   Interment: Casselton Cemetery, Casselton, ND.
