Scott Lindstedt Obituary

Scott C. Lindstedt, 63, of Rothsay, MN, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Sandford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

Scott Carl Lindstedt was born on February 20, 1958 in Milwaukee, WI to Russell and Alice (Vingen) Lindstedt. In 1969, his parents moved to Stevens Point, WI. There, Scott attended St. Stephen's Grade School and Pacelli High School, graduating in 1976.

Scott found his passion in the bakery industry, first learning his craft in Stevens Point, then moving to the Twin Cities where, for several years, he owned and operated Lindstedt's Bakery. There he met and married Marcia Jensen. They moved to Rothsay, MN where Scott worked at several smaller bakeries in the area. At the time of his passing, Scott was employed by Bimbo Bakeries USA, in Fergus Falls, MN.

Scott will be remembered for his ability to make everyone smile, sometimes with a slightly inappropriate joke. He had a passion for baking and cooking, loved to read, and was dedicated to his family, his dog Montana, and cat Elsa. He lived life on his own terms, and never looked back.

Scott is survived by his son, Shane, Fargo ND; daughter Samantha (Alan) Chappell, Mandan ND; grandchildren Zoe and Aria Chappell, his former wife, Marcia Jensen, Saint Paul, MN; brothers Russell, Virginia Beach, VA; Donald (Deb), Walker MN; Robert (Mary), Plover, WI; sister Christine (Bill) Jarvis, Wisconsin Rapids, WI, and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Scott's friend and neighbor, David Erickson, for all his support over the many years they were friends, but especially in these last weeks.

Scott was preceded in death by parents, Russell and Alice, and brother Gary.

The family will be holding a private memorial service with burial at a later date.
