Ryan Waggoner

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Ryan Waggoner, age 25, on Sunday July 20, 2025, at Sanford Hospital in West Fargo, surrounded by his loving family.

   Ryan August Waggoner was born on April 29, 2000, to Kimberly Waggoner. He grew up in West Fargo and attended West Fargo High School. When he was able to, Ryan worked in the fast food and commercial roofing industries.

   Ryan’s greatest joy in life was his son Cameron. He loved teaching Cameron about the wonders of space and the thrill of cars, cherishing every moment they spent together. He also enjoyed playing video games, long boarding when he could and hanging out with his friends. He was also proud of his hair and beard and loved talking about it to anyone who would listen.

   Despite facing ongoing medical challenges, Ryan kept a positive attitude through it all and treasured his family and friends. Ryan’s memory will live on in the laughter and the love of his son, the warmth of family stories, and the bonds he shared with all who knew him.

   Ryan is survived by his mom, Kim (Tanner) Waggoner, West Fargo, ND; son, Cameron Waggoner (Cameron’s mom Julia Stratenberger), West Fargo, ND; grandparents, Jerald and Kandi Diemert, West Fargo, ND; uncle, Josh Waggoner; many cousins, aunts and uncles; sister Jaide Chester-Joyce, Phoenix, AZ, and sister, Mackenzie Thompson, WI.

   He was preceded in death by his sister Brooklyn Joyce, great-grandmother Shirley Dowdy and great-grandfather Frank Dowdy.  

Visitation: Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 a.m. at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND.

Memorial Service: Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at West Funeral Home Chapel in West Fargo, ND.
