Ruth Ann Coleman

   Ruth Ann Coleman, 83 of Fargo, ND passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 12, 2023 at SMP Health, St. Catherine North, Fargo, ND.

   Born on February 24, 1940, in Elbow Lake, Minnesota to her late parents Harry and Kathleen (Apland) Erfert. She was united in marriage to Ronald F. Coleman on October 25, 1975, with whom she shared 47 years.

   Ruth Ann pursued a career in nursing, attending the Swedish Hospital of Nursing, Minneapolis Chapter. After completing this she went on to Graduate from Montana State and furthered her education by completing the Master of Science Degree at the University of North Dakota. She was the Director of Staff Development at Trinity Medical Center in Minot, North Dakota, where she made her life with her late husband, Ronald Coleman. During her long career Ruth Ann was actively involved in the School of Nursing at Trinity and took great pride in the education of future nurses. She was honored as a Distinguished Alumni Member of the Swedish Hospital, Minneapolis Chapter in May 2016.

   In her private life, besides being a mother and wife, Ruth Ann loved cooking, gardening and being a grandmother. Her true passion was always the art of quilting. Throughout her many years of quilting, Ruth produced many beautiful pieces of art which will be cherished and passed on to her loved ones.

   She is survived by her son, Chad (Andrea) Coleman, of Fargo, ND, stepdaughter, Sandra (Paul) Ryding, of Houston, Texas, and stepdaughter, Rhonda (Barry) Villines, of Lake Forest, California. She is also survived by her 3 grandsons (Chad & Andrea) Xander, Chessen, and Thatcher Coleman. Along with 6 step grandchildren (Sandra & Paul) Christopher, Joshua (Elise), and Samantha (Sabino Medrano) Ryding, (Rhonda & Barry) Brianna (Michael Semmel), Benjamin, and Stephen (Madison) Villines, She was also blessed to be survived by 9 great step grandchildren, (Joshua & Elise) Hudson and Coleman Ryding, (Samantha & Sabino) Callum, Grace, Chloe, Annie Medrano, (Brianna & Michael) Lucille and Benjamin Semmel, and (Stephen & Madison) Penelope Villines.

Visitation:  Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND.

Memorial Service: Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND.

Interment: Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Fargo National Cemetery, Harwood, ND.
