Ronald Wayne Hanson

Ron Hanson, 86, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 10, 2025, at Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, North Dakota.

Ronald W. Hanson was born October 1, 1938, to Melvin J. and Hazel G. (Halvorson) Hanson in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He attended school in Grand Forks until he joined the United States Marines, serving for five and a half years.

Ron married Mary Helen Satrom “Sally” on June 20, 1963, in Page, ND. Ron was a trucker and he and Sally drove to and from California and Winnipeg every week for many years.

Ronald is survived by two sisters, Joanne Fish and Susan, both of Arkansas, and a brother, Melvin. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Claudia.   

Family and friends will be holding a private graveside service for Ron on a later date at the Page Cemetery.
