Ronald Garsteig

Ronald Garsteig, 88, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away at his home on October 9, 2023.

Ron was born in Norway to Knute and Ella Garsteig. He moved to the United States at age three. After graduation, he served in the United States Army. He married Gail Hoganson Gilberts in 1965. He farmed near Wheatland, ND before becoming owner of Valley Aviation, Inc. in Fargo, ND from 1969-1975. The couple later settled in Cape Coral, FL

Ron was preceded in death by his wife: Gail Garsteig and son: Michael Garsteig.

He is survived by his beloved dog: Coco; his son: Brian (Darlene); grandsons: Ron and Dale (Leah); great grandchildren: Caelynn and Noah.

Ron always enjoyed his visits and the staff at Denny’s on Del Prado Blvd. in Cape Coral, FL.

Memorial Service: 10 am, Saturday, October 28, 2023, at West Funeral Home in West Fargo.

Interment:  Buffalo Cemetery, Buffalo, ND
