Roger Knudtson

Roger M. Knudtson, 77, of West Fargo, passed away Friday, May 23, 2025, at Sanford on 23rd in Fargo. 

Roger was born to Merrill and Eleanore (Aspingrin) Knudtson on October 17, 1947, in Hitterdal, MN.  He graduated from Hitterdal High School in 1966 , and then joined the US Air Force.  Roger was stationed in Texas, Bermuda, and Omaha, NE as a Communications Specialist. He then worked as a Technical Specialist for AM International until 1982.  At that time, he and two ex AM employees formed Addem, Inc.  Roger and Ginny became co-owners in 1995. 

Roger married Ginny Holmberg Rasmussen August 26, 1972, in Hillsboro, ND.  They lived in Grand Forks until 1976, when the couple moved to a farmstead near Cummings, ND.  In the fall of 2002, they moved to West Fargo, ND. 

Grateful for having shared in his life, wife:  Ginny; children:  Cristina Obermann, of Duluth, MN;  Alex (Kristen) Knudtson of Fargo;  Melanie (YuWeng) Shipek of Charleston, SC;  grandchildren:  Jennifer (Les) Glazman,  Roger Yeager,  Nina Shipek, Isabella “Bella” Shipek, Emery Knudtson and Abigail Knudtson;  great-grandchildren:  Isabella “Izzy” Yeager, Lilli Glazman, Zeppelin Glazman and Ireland Glazman;  brothers:  Ron (Deb) of Farmington, MN,  Richard of Moorhead, ND;  sisters:  Elaine (Harlan) Jacobson of Twin Valley, MN and LaVaye (Mike) Luthi of Hawley, MN; and Donna Johnson of Argusville, ND;  sisters-in-law:  Colleen Knudtson of St. Michael, MN and Rose Knudtson of Dilworth, MN,  many nieces and nephews. 

Roger was preceded in death by his parents:  Merrill and Eleanore and brothers:  Jim and Gene. 

Mass of Christian Burial:  2 p.m.  Friday, May 30th, 2025, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in West Fargo.

Visitation:  5 to 7 pm, with a 7 pm Vigil Thursday, May 29, in the church.

Burial:  Mayville Cemetery, Mayville, ND
