Roberto Balboa

   Roberto “Bobby” Balboa passed away on August 28th, 2021 at the age of 53 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND with his family by his side. Roberto was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. His wit and clever ways of making people laugh is what he was known for.

   One of his most recent hobbies included gardening. His passion for it was a skill he was proud of. He also enjoyed outdoor grilling and cooking for his family and friends.

   He was a hard worker who grew up migrating to the Red River Valley from his hometown Crystal City, TX. He then made West Fargo his home and worked as a truck driver.

   Roberto is preceded in death by his parents Concepcion and Pablo Balboa, and his brother, Fernando Balboa.

   Roberto is survived by his wife, Jessica Motschenbacher Balboa. His children, Amanda Balboa, Emily Garcia and Roberto Balboa from Ft. Worth, TX, Robert Balboa from Crystal City, TX, Brody Balboa and Destiny Balboa from West Fargo, ND. His brothers, Victor Balboa from Midlothian, TX, Pablo Balboa, Jr. from Crystal City, TX, Raúl Balboa from San Antonio, TX. His sisters, Teresa Rodriguez from Fergus Falls, MN and Alicia Mata from Uvalde, TX. Numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Memorials are preferred to the family.

Visitation: Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 9:00-10:00 a.m. in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead, MN.

Funeral:  Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, with Fr. Raul Perez-Cobo officiating.

Burial:  Springvale Cemetery – Fargo, ND.
