Robert Judisch

Robert Judisch, 97, Erie, ND passed away on Monday, Jan. 26, 2026, at Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, ND.

Robert Irving Judisch was born July 11, 1928 on a farm North of Erie to Edwin and Alice (Wagner) Judisch. He attended the Dows Township School. His father passed away when he was younger and Bob began working on the home farm. He then worked for Walter Bellin farm at Erie where he met his future wife, Helen Blaskowski. On October 8, 1955, they were married at St. John Lutheran Church in Arthur, ND.  The couple made their home at Alice, ND where he helped build the school and worked on a farm for Ernie Kapaun. They returned to the Hunter area where he worked for Lloyd and Marg Johnson at the Hunter Creamery until it closed. Bob then worked at Schweitzer Flax Straw.  The couple and family later moved to a farm near Erie where they resided there for over 40 years. He worked for Morrell Dickson farm rural Galesburg, ND for 50 years.

He was a member of Elm River Lutheran Church, Galesburg, ND. Bob enjoyed playing cards, watching the grandkids sporting events, MN Twins baseball, Lindaas barn dances and loved listening to polka music.

He is survived by four children, Edwin of Erie, ND, Duane (Jayne) of Hunter, ND, RaNell (Russell) Hansen of Grand Forks and Scott (Stacy Rosevold) of Clifford, ND;  grandchildren, Abby, Danielle, Marit, Lawyer, Marshall and Case; great grandchildren, Jessie, Elana, Joclyn and Avery; a sister, Lois Frost; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents; wife Helen of 66 years; siblings, August (Marjorie), Marvin (Dalice) and Evelyn (Jim) Smith; and brother-in-law, Ray Frost.

Funeral: Monday, February 2, 2026 at 2 PM at Elm River Lutheran Church, Galesburg, ND with visitation one hour prior.

Final Resting Place:  Erie Cemetery.
