Richard J. Forderer was born December 2, 1969, in Minneapolis, MN passed away peacefully at home.
His parents, Harvey and Lois, moved to Page, ND in 1971, where Richard grew up and attended school. After graduating from Page High School in 1988, he then attended North Dakota State College of Science, graduating with a degree in Graphic Arts.
Upon graduation Richard moved to Wishek, ND and worked for a print shop, later moving back to Page, ND, where he took pride in working for area farmers. Richard then moved to Fargo, ND and was employed by Fargo Assembly Company, currently ECI, for 27 years as a machinist. During this time, he also worked part time for Sanford Food Service. Through these jobs he gained many friendships that he cherished.
Richard enjoyed traveling with his wife, spending time at the lake, watching sports at various local establishments, and spending time with family and friends. Most of all he cherished his time with his grandson Theo.
Richard is survived by his wife, Stacy; two daughters Amanda (Cody) Rhinhart and Sarah Tarvestad (Jordan Thorson); a grandson Theo Rhinhart; brothers Travis (Jessica) and Andrew Forderer; sister Cynthia Forderer; sister-in-law Deborah (Shane) Mondry; mother-in-law Dianne Evanson; nieces Anela & Marjorie Forderer and Olivia Evanson; a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Richard is proceeded in death by his parents, Harvey and Lois; uncles Elmer Forderer and Robert Conrad and his grandparents.
Richard was a dedicated fan of the Minnesota Vikings. Those attending the Prayer Service and funeral are invited to wear Vikings apparel.
Funeral Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at West Funeral Home in West Fargo.
Visitation: Monday, 5 to 7 p.m., followed by a 7 p.m. Prayer Service all at the funeral home.
