Raymond Heick

Raymond George Heick, West Fargo, ND died on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Sanford Hospital at the age of 71.

Raymond was born in Dickinson, ND on January 6, 1954 to Joseph and Frances Heick.  He grew up on the family farm by New England, ND with his brothers Leon, Larry, Darrel and sisters Marlys, Linda and Ramona.  Raymond attended and graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School.  He remained working on the family farm with his parents until his dad passed away in 1985, then he took over the farm.  Raymond married Shirley Hofer on July 13, 1974.  They had two children, daughter Lynn and son Chad.

Raymond was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  He had many interests and loved doing many things but his favorite was spending time with his family and friends.  He will be greatly missed.

Raymond was preceded in death by his father Joseph Heick, mother Frances Heick and sister Ramona Heick.

Raymond is survived by his wife Shirley (Hofer) Heick, daughter Lynn (Josh) Halvorson, son Chad Heick; grandchildren Jamie Kindem, Kaylie Kindem, Hunter Heick; great grandchild Persephone Thompson; brothers Leon (Alicia) Heick, Larry (Betty) Heick, Darrel (Laurie) Heick; sisters Marlys Heidrich and Linda (Richard) Kilzer.

   Visitation: Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND.

   Vigil Service/Rosary: Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 7:00 PM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND.

   Funeral Mass: Friday, December 5, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Holy Cross Catholic Church, West Fargo, ND.

   Burial: Friday, December 5, 2025 following the service at Holy Cross Cemetery – North, Fargo, ND.
