R. Pat Jeanotte Obituary

Roland “Patrick” Jeanotte, of West Fargo, ND, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024, with his beloved wife, Delilah by his side. Pat and Delilah’s children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren surrounded him during his final days.

Pat was born on July 5, 1951, in Belcourt, ND to Leo and Josephine Jeanotte. He was a proud member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians.

After graduation, Pat and his high school sweetheart, Delilah, moved to Dallas, TX before returning to ND and making their home in West Fargo with their 3 children Sonya, Jason, and Kara. Pat worked for the Fargo Post Office for over 30 years. He also worked part-time for the Fargo Forum before fully retiring in 2021.

In his spare time, Pat enjoyed golfing with good friends and family. He also had a great love for watching sports, including his favorite team the MN Vikings.

Pat enjoyed indulging in his favorite foods which included Chinese fried rice and Dwayne’s House of Pizza in Fargo. One of Pat’s pride and joys was his lawn. He and Delilah would spend hours outside together making sure the yard was always picture perfect.

Pat came from a large family; he was the 8th child to be born out of 11. Pat and his siblings always kept in close contact with each other, despite the distance between them. There have been many summer trips to visit, and Pat always kept his relationships with his brothers and sisters a top priority.

Pat’s greatest love was his family. He and Delilah had 3 children, 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Pat is survived by his wife Delilah, his son Jason (Natalie) and daughter Kara (Colin). He is also survived by his Grandsons Tyler, Bailey, Riley(Kinsey), Julian(Christina), Jadin, Bauer, Evan and Granddaughters Lexi (Chazz) and Lucy. He is also survived by 2 great grand daughters Leila and Athena(Tyler) and 3 great grandsons Cruze and Cairo(Lexi and Chazz) and Niko(Julian & Christina).

Pat will be remembered by his unwavering loyalty, devotion to his family, and his generosity. Pat’s love and compassion was overwhelming to all who encountered him. His positive energy was contagious. If you weren’t part of the Jeanotte family, you wanted to be. Pat was the foundation of his family. Pat was the rock in hard times and the man full of all the wisdom you could ever need. He was the gentle yet stern voice everyone needed and will be deeply missed by all.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Shirley, Midge, Bud, Eppie, George and his beloved daughter, Sonya.
