Peter Wade Lindstrom, 62, Casselton, ND died on Monday, March 8, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Pete was born March 31, 1958 in Fargo, ND. He grew up near Amenia, ND with his adoptive parents, Kenneth and Marian (Olson) Lindstrom. He attended school at Amenia and graduated from Central Cass High School in 1976. Pete continued his schooling at NDSU where he received an Ag Economics Degree. He married Malinda Pfingsten on June 27, 1981 at the Canaan Moravian Church. They lived in Casselton and Amenia before settling on the family farm in 1996. They moved back to Casselton in August of 2018.
Pete was a lifelong farmer starting with his father and continuing to the next generation with his sons. Pete and Malinda enjoyed traveling and camping with family. Some of his favorite things and passions were his kids, being a grandpa, attending BSF, eating popcorn and ice cream and watching movies. He served as Mayor of Amenia, Treasurer of the Goshen Church, was also on the Central Cass School Board and Amenia Coop Oil Board.
Pete is survived by his wife, Malinda; three children, Brandon, Erik (Miranda) and Kaylyn (Paul) Grommesh; grandchildren, Eloise and Olivia Lindstrom; Odin and soon to arrive baby girl Grommesh; a sister, Britt Lindstrom (Linda Tribble); father and mother-in-law, LeRoy and Arlis Pfingsten; brother-in-law, Marlin (Rhonda) Pfingsten; sister-in-law, Lanelle (Paul) Saxerud; 5 nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Belle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ken and Marian Lindstrom.
Visitation: Friday, March 12, 2021 from 4 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at Goshen Moravian Church, rural Durbin, ND.
Funeral: Saturday, March 13 at 10 AM at Goshen Moravian Church with visitation one hour prior. Please use your best judgement in attending and follow COVID guidelines if attending as the church is small. The family understands if you are not able to attend and wants you to stay safe.
Burial: Amenia Cemetery.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Steen, Roger Maris Cancer Center, the valet guys and the many caregivers throughout his medical stays.
Memorials in honor of Pete can be given to BSF International, Roger Maris Cancer Center, Ethos Hospice, Senior Helpers of West Fargo, or the charity of your choice.
