Paulette Jane Heflin

Paulette Heflin, age 79 of Dilworth, Minnesota, passed away and went into service of the lord on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.

Paulette Blazek, also known as “Gramma Paula, Mema, Mena, & Boom Boom by her grandchildren or “Polly”, was born in Cayuga, North Dakota on May 24, 1946, to Albert Blazek and Emilie (Napravnik) Blazek. She was raised on The Blazek family farm in Richland County and attended school in Wyndmere ND, she graduated from Wyndmere High School in 1964. Paula married Darrell Heflin in 1967, and they had 2 children, Angela and Michael. They raised their children in West Fargo. Paula then moved to Hillsboro, ND to be with her parents, and then later to Dilworth, MN.

Over her 79 years, Paula was a woman of tremendous faith, love, and devotion to Jesus Christ and to her family.  Paula touched many lives through her kindness, her ready smile, quick wit, and her willingness to help people. She carried a very generous heart—always ready to pitch in, listen to a friend, or bring cheer to anyone who needed a helping hand. Whether through quiet support or heartfelt conversation, she made an enduring, lasting positive impression on those around her.

Paula was a cherished Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend. She absolutely adored her Children and Grandchildren; she was always present in their lives and a constant shoulder for them to lean on. She found joy in cooking amazing meals for her family, she absolutely LOVED Bingo, and playing games during the holidays and family gatherings, she absolutely loved the many dogs she had over the years and was active in supporting many charities involving pets and people less fortunate. She took delight in sharing her culinary skills, wisdom, and faith with others. Her laughter and gentle presence brought comfort and warmth to countless gatherings. Her memory will live on in the stories told, the meals shared, and the loving moments so many hold dear.

Paula is survived by her daughter Angela (Mike) Rehder, Her Grandchildren, Autumn Prigelmeier, Ryan Prigelmeier, Ashtyn Prigelmeier, and Coleman Rehder. Her Sister, Phyllis (Rick) Nelson. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Michael Heflin, her sister, Sharon Markle, and her Parents Albert and Emilie.

Though she is gone from this life, her legacy of compassion, strength, and genuine care remains. May those who mourn her passing take comfort in the countless ways she blessed them in life. We say farewell to Paula with gratitude for her life, sorrow for our loss, and the enduring power of Faith, Hope, and Love.

A celebration of life will be held at 7:00 pm, Friday, November 14th at West Funeral Home in West Fargo. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the Celebration of Life.
