Paul D Kasowski

Paul D. Kasowski, 72, Buffalo, ND passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Sanford Hospital on Broadway in Fargo, ND.

Paul Douglas Kasowski was born April 28, 1953 in Fargo, ND to Robert and Margaret (Dougherty) Kasowski. He grew up on the family farm near Buffalo and graduated from Buffalo High School. Paul worked at American Crystal Sugar in Moorhead for a short time before returning to work with his dad on the farm. He married Janice Glasser on August 7, 1975 in Bismarck, ND. They lived in the Buffalo area before settling on the family farm in 1996.

Paul was a lifelong farmer. He retired in 2022 but continued to help with the farm. Paul and Jan owned JP’s Bar in Buffalo for 20 years. They also established and operated “Section 17” Hunting Preserve for over 20 years. He was a member of the Buffalo Wildlife Club and served on the Buffalo Fire Department and First Responders.  Paul enjoyed gardening, raising sweet corn, hunting, fishing but most of all riding motorcycle. Last month, Paul and Jan completed a 3400 mile ride through Arizona. He also enjoyed restoring antique Farmall/IH tractors and Chrysler/Mopar muscle cars.

He is survived by his wife, Janice; six siblings, Dennis (Jan), Connie (Glen) Wright, Daniel “Punk” (Susan), Penny (Ted) Hruby, Sandy Reitan and Randy (Lori); along with many nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.

Memorial Service: Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 2 PM at West Funeral Home Chapel, 31 6th Ave. N., Casselton, ND with visitation one hour prior. 

Burial: Buffalo Cemetery.
