Orville Alan Milbrandt went home to salvation on June 4th, 2026, at the age of 78. A man of great faith, who lived as he believed. A wonderful friend to all that were fortunate enough to have known him; a patient and thoughtful man, who has influenced many lives with his gentle and loving guidance.
Orville cherished family above all. Born to Ervin and Doris (Kranz) Milbrandt on September 10th 1947, in Oakes, ND, he was a doting son, with nearly daily visits and help to Doris during her 94 years of life. A loving father to Risa Joy (Cavett) and Lee. An adoring grandfather to Ethan, Blaine, Violet, Ty, Sydney (Cavett), as well as a great-grandfather to Cayde and Toby Bonilla (Violet). He also has many nieces and nephews he loved dearly.
Orville especially loved Christmas when the Milbrandt family would gather for celebration. He shared his love of the Lord and strong faith as the entire family gathered around him and read the verses of the birth of Christ, from the book of Luke, as well as a prayer of thankfulness
Orville passed peacefully shortly after his siblings, daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends gathered at his bedside.
Orville was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Doris Milbrandt.
He is survived by his son Lee Milbrandt of Lisbon, ND; daughter Risa Joy (Mike) Cavett of New Richmond, WI; grandchildren Ethan Cavett, Somerset, WI, Blaine Cavett, Fargo, ND, Violet (Jensell) Bonilla, St. Paul, MN, Ty Cavett, Sioux Falls, SD, and Sydney Cavett, New Richmond, WI; great-grandsons Cayde and Toby Bonilla; siblings Lyle (Judy) Milbrandt, Lisbon, ND, Gary (Linda) Milbrandt, Fargo, ND, Val (Sam) VanTassel, Minneapolis, MN and Bonnie (Jim) Martin, Fargo, ND, as well as many nieces and nephews.
